EVE AVENUE Moissanite
Hand-selected jewellery stones in the colourless spectrum are available at Eve Avenue. The GIA has created a colour grading system that is frequently used for diamonds and may also be used for moissanite. We have alternatives that are colourless in grades D, E, and F.
The weight of a diamond is typically expressed in terms of its carat weight. Its about 10% lower weight than diamond, Moissanite is typically not weighed in carats. A 6.5mm round diamond, for instance, weighs 1.0ct, while a 6.5mm round Moissanite weighs approximately 0.88ct. Moissanite and diamond are identical in size but have differing carat weights. In order to reduce confusion, Moissanites are listed with their size in millimetres and the weight in carats of a diamond, respectively. In this manner, the size of a 1ct round diamond and a 1ct round Moissanite are equal.
The GIA has created a colour grading system that is frequently used for diamonds and may also applied to moissanite. Mozambique stones in the colourless range are available from Gemorie (grades D, E, F)
Moissanite is measured in millimetres rather than carat weight since it weighs a little bit less than a diamond of the same size. When compared to a diamond of the same size, moissanite may measure differently in weight but it will measure close to or the same in diameter.
The following Comparison Chart shows how moissanite gemstones rival diamond, ruby, emerald, and other superb gemstones in brilliance, fire, lustre, and amazing hardness:
